It seems, from personal experience, chatter with friends, and client requests that the master bedroom ends up being one of the last places in our homes to receive those "finishing touches"....after all we only sleep there right? WRONG! Your bedroom should be calm & relaxing but still reflective of your personal style....


Calming & Relaxing doesn't have to mean - neutrally bland - choose softer wall colors and a clean palette and then add punch of color/pattern with a throw or pillow.


Re-work & Re-use...hey if your lucky enough to own a vintage Louis Vuitton luggage set break that out of the closet and use it as your nightstand. If not, I'm sure you have some old piece of furniture that's dying for a little "TLC"

Got a space that just seems to large and open? Creating a canopy over your bed can help contain the space. An easy DYI solution: Purchase drapery hardware that can be mounted from the ceiling, then use drapery panels to create the illusion of a traditional four post canopy bed, with a modern twist

I love the clean/soft look of this bedroom. The pattern on the drapes is just enough to add visual interest as well as a pop of soft yellow. The Lucite legs of the benches and the clear glass table lamp bring an elegant feel














Everything about this bath is relaxing!I love the tub being placed in front of the large picture window, allowing a ton of natural light to pour in. Also the cool Calcutta tiles are balanced really well with the warm wood floors

A few more examples of how strong of a component natural light can be! I think the greatest thing about these two images is they are load with layers! The chunky texture of the rattan chairs sitting on top of the sisal rug give a ton of dimension to the room without the feel of clutter. The petrified wood side table adds another natural texture - and the Lucite cocktail table relates the floor to ceiling windows that lay beyond the seating arrangement
